I rate Stirling Moss as my all-time favorite driver, which may seem a little odd since he never won a World Drivers Championship, never won at Le Mans, Daytona or Indianapolis. Perhaps even stranger still because he had his bad accident and retired a couple years before I think I was old enough to know who he was. However, over the years I have come to appreciate that during his career, Sir Stirling as he is now known, was in his day, the fastest man in anything with four wheels. Moss had a great talent in any type of racing car, in extracting the very best out of that car and usually being the fastest at it! The machinery may have broke in the process, but Stirling Moss always was out giving 110%, often finishing well ahead of everyone else. That is why I believe him to be the best racing driver ever!

PLEASE NOTE: From 1968 into the 1990's tobacco companies sponsored many significant race cars. We don't promote tobacco use, rather we stronly discourage it. However, we do promote historical accuracy, Old Irish Racing chooses
to display models in our collection as historically accurate as possible. While seeing a tobacco advert on a car gives me no more desire to go smoke than seeing a car makes me want to go
suck on its exhaust pipe. If tobacco (or alcohol) adverts on race cars offend you, please go look at nice pictures of bunnies and kittens on another site. Thank you!
