Mercedes Benz W196

Arguably one of the greatest racing cars ever built, the W196 and its sister car the 300SLR, were the pinnacle of Grand Prix and sports car racing in the 1950’s.

I first fell in love with the shape of the streamlined W196, when given a Dinky Toy of one as a boy. As a young lad and to the present day, that shape has defined for me what a racing car should look like.
